Responsibilities
My time at Eldon House was split between spending time on site and working on individual projects on my own time.
On site, I typically worked on preservation of furniture, preparing and setting up for various events, and cataloging artifacts as well as any other duties that would have to be done.
My own time was spent transcribing the correspondence and diaries of one family member, Ronald Harris and working on the video highlighting artifacts in the collection.
London's Eldon House
Eldon House is located in London, Ontario and holds the city's regard as being the oldest residence in the city. Built in 1834 by Captain John Harris, it was continuously lived in by a member of the family for 126 years until it was sold to the city and established as a museum.
There are a variety of artifacts in the house ranging from Victorian era heirlooms to souvenirs collected on an 1897 year long world tour.
