Program Assistant
Berks County Heritage Center - Reading, Pennsylvania

2016 - Present

My time with the Berks County Heritage Center has provided a wealth of knowledge including interacting with the public by giving tours, providing food and store assistance, and keeping track of finances in books. I have also taken part in assisting the Director of Parks in creating a presentation featuring videos of the moving of the Gruber Wagon Works. These videos will be shown at the Carriage Association of America's International Carriage Symposium. Various other responsibilities taken on were cataloging artifacts in the blacksmith shop, event planning and setup, archiving of documents, creation of lesson plans, and working with volunteers.

Education Assistant
Museum of Ontario Archaeology - London, Ontario

May 2020 - Aug 2020

The most recent opportunity I have had the honor of participating in is a three month internship with the Museum of Ontario Archaeology (MOA). Though this internship was limited to digital methods, I still had the pleasure of making social media posts, and working with the staff of the museum almost daily. The main project I took part in was a take-home summer camp kit in place of the museum's in-person summer camps.

Research Assistant
Eldon House - London, Ontario

2019 - 2020

I had the honor of participating in is a year long assistantship with Eldon House in downtown London, Ontario. I gained further experience in Past Perfect and was introduced to various forms of preservation. While diverting from my comfort in interpretation, I completed a project in the transcription of early 1900s communications as well as the organization of events including teas, speakers, and the yearly Christmas celebration. My biggest project completed was a series of interactive YouTube videos that showcased a variety of unique artifacts in the museum's collections.

Volunteer Archivist
Henry Janssen Library - Reading, Pennsylvania
2014 - 2015

At the Henry Janssen Library, I collaborated with the head archivist to uncover family genealogies and other research requests. Along with this, I imported and organized collections into Past Perfect. Throughout my time there, I gained experience using a card catalog as well as a microfilm reader. This job also introduced me to Past Perfect where I uploaded donated photographs and other paper artifacts.
